Is tracing cheating? and FREE video - Learn to draw freehand

Some people online (and even in person) can be so cruel about our art saying things like -

"Your art is not real, you trace the drawing" 

"Oh... so you are just colouring in then" 

"Your cheating by tracing!" etc .....   

To shut them up I usually draw a circle and say - draw a hyper-realistic apple out of that then! its only colouring in after all lol ....  

Dont get wrapped up in these peoples issues, whatever those are - instead spend your time creating wonderful art instead   We have enough doom spreaders in the world already , what we dont have is enough artists

Tracing is ABSOLUTELY FINE to do, but some just dont like the drawing part, others find it stressful, others like me just need to get to the pastel stage fast (or I would never do this many lessons).

BUT..... and this is IMPORTANT, if deep inside YOU, you feel like you are cheating yourself when you trace then that is not good for you, you will always feel like your lying to everyone.

So how do you get rid of those feelings? EASY - learn to draw.

KEEP THIS IN MIND - dont expect to do it right immediately and be perfect all the time, it takes practice , just like riding a bike.

There are MANY ways to do it, using a grid, using proportional dividers, just going completely free hand. LOTS of different ways.
