Although I have loved Pastelmat for 6-7 years (as long as I have been doing pastels) , its the ONLY paper that has allowd me to draw in the way I do. It has always had issues with quality (I do hear it was great before though) and the quality seems to be getting worse.
But there was never an alternative paper. That is until now.
Canson has recently released a brand new paper (Canson Velvet paper). In this video I test it out and do a small / very detailed drawing on it - see what youthink and let me know in the commenst below
